Before your departure

Make sure you have a valid passport (at least 6 months before expiry date)

Check whether you need a New Zealand visitor visa or New Zealand electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) by visiting the New Zealand Immigration travel website

The conference will be held in Winter, it may be cold and wet so make sure you bring enough (waterproof) clothes to keep you warm and dry.

To protect the nature of our beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand, please following the biosecurity regulations and avoid bringing any animals/plants products into NZ.
The most important thing is getting yourself ready for the exciting trip !!!
After your departure

There are various ways to leave airport to your accommodations, e.g., bus, train & taxi etc. (please see conference venues and accommodation sections)

Sometimes the roads in Auckland can be congested with traffic, which will delay your expected time of arrival.

It is recommended for the participants to leave your accommodations earlier, in case you are not familiar with the direction, in order to arrive the conference venue on time.

Explore Auckland

Sky Tower
The tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere, offering stunning 360-degree views of Auckland, its harbors, and nearby islands. Thrill-seekers can try the SkyWalk or SkyJump for an adrenaline rush.
Auckland War Memorial Museum
Located in Auckland Domain, the museum offers insights into New Zealand’s history, natural environment, and Māori culture. The Māori cultural performances are a highlight (need to buy ticket separately), providing a rich immersion into the traditions of Aotearoa.
It is an open wildlife sanctuary and one of New Zealand’s most successful conservation projects. Located in the Hauraki Gulf, it’s a popular destination for nature lovers, offering a rare opportunity to experience native birdlife and forest regeneration in a natural setting. If you want to stay on the island overnight, accommodation should be booked in advance.
Rangitoto Island
A dormant volcanic island just a short ferry ride from the city. Hiking to the summit offers incredible views of Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf. Rangitoto’s volcanic landscape and lava caves are unique and fascinating to explore.
Waiheke Island
Just a 40-minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland, Waiheke Island is famous for its beautiful beaches, lush vineyards, olive groves, and art galleries. You can enjoy wine tasting, beach walks, or explore the island’s local arts scene.
Devonport
Just a short ferry ride from Britomart, you will arrive at Devonport and be greeted by Devonport’s charming village. Take a 15 min walk up to Mount Victoria to gaze Auckland downtown and the Harbour Bridge afar. You can also visit North Head Historic Reserve to explore historical military tunnels and bunkers used for defense during WWII. The summit offers panoramic views of the Hauraki Gulf, Rangitoto Island and Auckland's skyline.
Waitākere Ranges Regional Park
Located at west of Auckland, this park housing a diverse of New Zealand's native plants, including the signature Kauri. The area is perfect for hiking and nature photography.
